ByteDance Integrates TRAE and Coze into Doubao to Launch "Doubao Work"

ByteDance has consolidated its AI productivity teams, merging TRAE and Coze into the Doubao ecosystem. The company plans to launch a unified AI office brand called "Doubao Work" to streamline its AI-powered workplace tools. This consolidation reflects a broader industry trend of packaging fragmented AI tools into unified productivity suites to better compete with rivals like Tencent. It positions Doubao as ByteDance's central hub for both consumer and enterprise AI applications. Under the new structure, TRAE Work and Coze will merge their capabilities with Doubao's office features, while TRAE IDE and CLI will continue as programming-focused products under the Doubao brand. The integrated teams will report directly to Zhao Qi, the head of Doubao products.
