ByteDance Establishes 'Doubao Office' Department to Integrate AI into Enterprise Workflows

ByteDance has established a new "Doubao Office" department by merging the product teams of its enterprise collaboration tool Feishu and its AI division Doubao. This restructuring puts Doubao's head, Zhao Qi, in charge of the unified team, with Feishu's head, Xie Xin, reporting to him. This organizational shift highlights ByteDance's strategic focus on deeply embedding AI capabilities into enterprise productivity tools to compete in the enterprise AI market. By unifying Feishu and Doubao, the company aims to accelerate the deployment of native AI features across document editing, meetings, and team collaboration. The newly formed department is actively recruiting AI Strategy Product Managers, and a "Doubao Enterprise Edition" is already undergoing closed beta testing with select Feishu clients. This enterprise version features native integration with Feishu's ecosystem alongside enterprise-grade data isolation and security auditing.
