Booster officially launched the K1 Explorer Edition, an entry-level developer humanoid robot priced at 38,999 RMB on JD.com. The robot comes integrated with ByteDance's Doubao large language model to power native AI interactions. This launch lowers the entry barrier for embodied AI research and developer prototyping by offering a complete humanoid hardware package paired with a top-tier LLM at a relatively accessible price. It highlights the growing trend of combining generative AI models directly with physical robotics platforms. Standing roughly 95 cm tall and weighing 19.5 kg, the Booster K1 features 22 degrees of freedom, 48 TOPS of dense compute power, binocular depth cameras, and a 3-microphone array. It offers open APIs for developer customization and supports over-the-air (OTA) updates.
