BlueWorm Embodied Launches Mantis Standard Modular Humanoid Robot Starting at 9,800 RMB

BlueWorm Embodied, a tech transfer enterprise from Xi'an Jiaotong University, has officially launched the Mantis Standard 'Xiao Bai' modular humanoid robot starting at 9,800 RMB. Designed as a flexible embodied AI development platform, its chassis, arms, waist, and head feature standard quick-connect mechanical and electrical interfaces. By lowering the hardware price point for humanoid robotics below 10,000 RMB, this platform dramatically reduces the financial barrier to entry for researchers and developers. It streamlines embodied AI research and practical training by offering out-of-the-box integration with mainstream developer ecosystems. The 1.4-meter-tall robot features 22 degrees of freedom, a 7kg single-arm payload, a 3-hour battery life, and teleoperation latency below 10ms. Its omnidirectional chassis achieves speeds up to 3m/s, supported by a 550mm waist lifting mechanism with a vertical speed of 200mm/s.

## BACKGROUND

Embodied AI refers to artificial intelligence systems integrated into physical hardware like robots, allowing them to perceive, learn, and interact directly with physical environments. Degrees of freedom (DoF) represent the number of independent movable joints or axes a robot can control, which dictates its flexibility and motion capability.
