Biren Technology Reports 1,997.6% YoY Revenue Growth in First Half
Chinese GPU manufacturer Biren Technology announced a massive 1,997.6% year-on-year revenue increase to 1.236 billion RMB for the first half of the year. This growth was driven by bulk deliveries of its Bili (壁砺) series AI training and inference chips to major internet companies and cloud providers. The nearly 20-fold revenue surge and narrowing net losses demonstrate the rapid commercial scaling and market acceptance of domestic Chinese AI hardware. It highlights China's progress in building self-reliant AI infrastructure amid global semiconductor trade restrictions. Biren's R&D expenses rose 40.7% to 804.4 million RMB, while its net loss narrowed by 76.4% to 377.2 million RMB. The company claims that its Bili-series thousand-card clusters achieved end-to-end training and inference migration with accuracy matching international competitors and significantly faster training speeds.
