Baidu's Xiaodu Reaches 55M Households and Unveils Home Management AI Agent

Baidu's Xiaodu announced it has reached over 55 million households and introduced a new Home Affairs Management AI Agent alongside updated smart screen and camera hardware. The new agent allows parents to send text, voice, images, or documents from their phones, which Xiaodu automatically understands to assign family tasks and trigger proactive reminders. This launch demonstrates how consumer IoT hardware is evolving from simple voice assistants to proactive, agentic systems capable of handling multi-step household workflows. Furthermore, Xiaodu reported a nearly 300% growth in daily deep language interactions, highlighting strong consumer engagement with generative AI features in smart home devices. Xiaodu revealed that its AI camera features achieved a 67% feature penetration rate and a 94% user retention rate. The newly launched hardware powered by the 'Super Xiaodu' (超能小度) AI capabilities includes the Xiaodu Tiantian Companion Machine, smart screens, and smart cameras.
