Baidu Intelligent Cloud Restructures Business Units for AI Strategy
Baidu Intelligent Cloud Business Group (ACG) has reorganized its Intelligent Application Business Department, transferring its business lines into the Infrastructure Business Department, Agent Business Department, and the newly renamed Industry Application and Technology Services Center. Additionally, Baidu Vice President Ruan Yu has rotated to head Xiaodu Technology, continuing to report to Executive Vice President Shen Dou. This internal restructuring reflects Baidu's ongoing strategic shift to optimize its operations for artificial intelligence and cloud infrastructure development. By streamlining its divisions, the company aims to better align its computing resources, agent development platforms, and enterprise service delivery to capture growing demand in the AI market. The reorganization follows an earlier R&D structural adjustment in August, which involved renaming the platform product division to the Agent Business Department and shifting MaaS products to the infrastructure division. Senior executive Shen Dou continues to oversee these restructured divisions, maintaining centralized leadership over Baidu's core cloud and AI strategies.
