## BACKGROUND
Xiaodu is Baidu's smart hardware division, originally known for popularizing voice-controlled smart speakers and displays in China. In late 2025, Baidu introduced "Super Xiaodu," a multimodal AI assistant designed to move smart devices beyond voice commands into visual environmental understanding. Companion displays (known in China as "Guimiji") are battery-powered, movable large touchscreens on wheeled stands that combine the functions of smart TVs, tablets, and smart displays.
