AZZA Launches TRAIL Workstation Chassis Supporting Tower and Rack Deployments
PC hardware brand AZZA has introduced the TRAIL workstation chassis designed for AI workloads, offering convertible tower and rack-mount installation. It can accommodate up to four dual-slot 370mm expansion cards alongside SSI-EEB server motherboards. As local AI model training and inference demand multi-GPU configurations, hybrid chassis bridging enterprise server components with workstation builds are increasingly practical. This release offers system builders a flexible hardware foundation tailored for high-density compute workloads. Built with 1.0–1.2mm SGCC steel, the chassis features 8 FHFL expansion slots, pre-installed high-speed fans (three 12038 front fans and two 6,300 RPM 8038 rear fans), and support for both ATX and 2U CRPS redundant power supplies. It also incorporates drive cages with a 12Gbps backplane and allows replacing the front fan bracket with a 360mm liquid cooling radiator.
## BACKGROUND
SSI-EEB is a standard form factor for dual-processor enterprise motherboards, requiring larger chassis dimensions than standard consumer ATX boards. CRPS (Common Redundant Power Supply) is an industry-wide specification for hot-swappable server power supplies designed to ensure high system availability.
