Autonomous driving company Momenta has reportedly entered the unmanned freight sector, with its "Robovan" vehicles already operating in Suzhou, China, for several months. This expansion follows the company's recent listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and its expansion of L4 Robotaxi testing to Shenzhen. This move signals Momenta's diversification from passenger vehicles and robotaxis into the logistics and freight market, leveraging its mature autonomous driving technology. Success in this sector could accelerate the commercialization of driverless logistics in urban areas. Momenta's autonomous driving system is already deployed in over 1 million mass-produced vehicles across more than 100 models globally. The company recently secured a permit to conduct L4-level autonomous Robotaxi road tests in Shenzhen, adding to its existing operations in Shanghai, Suzhou, and Wuxi.
