AutoNavi Launches Amap 2026 with 'Navigation Live' and Spatial AI Features

AutoNavi has officially launched Amap 2026, introducing 'Navigation Live' powered by spatial AI to deliver real-time environmental sensing, camera-based visual search, and travel-matched personalized AI podcasts. The release also upgrades AutoNavi AI Conversation with a 15-dimension risk-checking 'Avoidance Guide' and expands the Eagle Eye Guardian early warning system to cover 28 traffic risk scenarios. This release shifts navigation software from passive route calculation to proactive, context-aware spatial assistance that understands what users see in the real world. By pairing spatio-temporal data with generative AI, AutoNavi demonstrates a concrete consumer application of spatial intelligence in everyday travel. Navigation Live uses smartphone cameras to recognize nearby buildings and landmarks for walking orientation and historical insights, while its AI podcast automatically adjusts content duration if traffic delays change the estimated arrival time. The upgraded Eagle Eye Guardian safety warning system now delivers second-level hazard warnings across 28 risk categories, having served over 62.9 billion alerts since launch.

## BACKGROUND

Spatial AI is an emerging field in artificial intelligence aimed at helping machines perceive, reason about, and interact with the three-dimensional physical world. AutoNavi's Eagle Eye Guardian system, developed alongside safety research institutes, leverages cloud AI models and anonymous real-time telemetry from connected devices to detect sudden speed drops and road hazards.
