Asus Launches ProArt P14, P16, and GR1X Powered by NVIDIA RTX Spark
Asus has unveiled its new ProArt lineup, including the P16 and P14 laptops alongside the GR1X mini PC, all powered by NVIDIA's RTX Spark superchip with up to 128GB of unified memory. The platform delivers up to 1 PFLOP of FP4 AI compute, enabling local execution of large language models and complex 3D workflows. By featuring up to 128GB of unified system memory on a mobile Arm platform, these devices let creators and developers run massive local AI models offline, avoiding cloud subscription fees and token limits. This marks a major step forward for high-performance, local AI workstation capabilities in portable and compact form factors. The ProArt P16 features a 16-inch 4K 120Hz OLED display with a 99.9Wh battery starting at $2,799.99 for the 24GB configuration, while the P14 offers a 3K OLED touchscreen starting at $3,099.99 for 32GB. The GR1X mini PC has a 1.1-liter chassis, 140W TDP, 10GbE networking, and supports up to four 4K displays for 24/7 AI agent hosting.
## BACKGROUND
NVIDIA RTX Spark is an Arm-based System-on-Chip (SoC) combining a 20-core NVIDIA Grace CPU with a Blackwell-architecture RTX GPU using unified memory for Windows on Arm systems. Unified memory allows both CPU and GPU cores to seamlessly access the same high-speed memory pool without transferring data over a traditional PCIe bus. This architecture dramatically increases memory bandwidth efficiency, which is vital for serving large AI parameters locally.
