Apple Updates Shortcuts App with Web-Connected 'Use Model' AI Action and 35+ Features

Apple updated its support documentation detailing over 35 new and improved actions for the Shortcuts app across iOS, iPadOS, and macOS. The highlight is an enhanced 'Use Model' action that allows Apple Intelligence to fetch up-to-date information directly from the web. Connecting AI capabilities in Shortcuts with live web search enables users to build much more powerful, context-aware automations directly on Apple devices. It also deepens Apple Intelligence integration across core system apps like Messages, Notes, Reminders, and Photos. In addition to live web querying, Shortcuts now supports natural language workflow creation, Markdown formatting in Notes actions, 'else if' conditional logic, and new triggers for screenshots and keyboards.
