Apple's First Smart Home Hub Named HomeView with A18 Chip

Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reported that Apple's upcoming smart home hub is named 'HomeView' and will be unveiled at the 'Welcome home' event. The device features an iMac G4-inspired design, is powered by the A18 chip, and is scheduled to ship in November. This product marks Apple's official entry into dedicated smart home hardware control centers, integrating AI Siri as its core interface. It signals Apple's broader ambition to unify home automation and deepen its ecosystem footprint. HomeView will support voice-centric interactions via AI Siri and run Apple's native apps without supporting the App Store directly. It will be available in four colors for the standard model and two colors for a wall-mounted version.
