According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, future Apple Watch models may feature an on-device AI capability that continuously analyzes microphone, GPS, and sensor data to automatically generate daily activity and conversation summaries. This feature places Apple in direct competition with emerging AI wearable devices aimed at automated lifelogging, while reinforcing Apple's focus on privacy by handling processing locally without saving raw audio or transcriptions. The automated logging feature will require new processing chips to handle local audio sampling securely, will operate on an opt-in basis with location-specific toggles, and will feed daily context into a revamped Siri app.
