Anthropic Unifies Claude Chat, Cowork, and Artifacts UIs and Adds PPT Tools
Anthropic has updated Claude by combining its Chat, Cowork, and Artifacts interfaces into a single workspace that automatically routes user requests to the correct tool. Additionally, Claude now features built-in presentation creation tools that can export to PowerPoint or PDF, along with collaborative document editing capabilities. This update streamlines the user workflow by removing manual tab-switching and expanding Claude from a standard AI chatbot into a full-featured productivity suit. It reflects a broader industry shift toward unified agentic workspaces that handle document creation, slide design, and asynchronous task execution in one place. Users can generate, edit, and present slides directly inside Claude, as well as comment on documents with cross-device tracking between desktop and mobile. The new UI is rolling out first to Claude Pro and Max subscribers on web, desktop, and mobile apps, with availability for free and Team tiers planned for later.
## BACKGROUND
Anthropic previously offered separate tools within Claude, including Artifacts for interactive rendering of code and documents, and Claude Cowork, an agentic tool for desktop and file management tasks. Claude Design, launched in April for visual prototyping, is also integrated into this unified workspace alongside an upgraded memory layer for cross-session context.
