Anthropic has launched a "Record a skill" feature for Claude Cowork, allowing Pro, Max, and Teams subscribers to teach the AI agent desktop tasks by recording their screen and explaining the steps with voice. The system automatically tracks screen activity, mouse movements, keystrokes, and audio to compile the demonstration into a reusable skill. This feature significantly lowers the technical barrier for creating AI automation, shifting from complex scripting and text prompts to intuitive demonstration. It enables non-technical users to easily customize AI agents for their specific workflows, advancing human-AI collaboration. Once recorded, the demonstration is saved as a structured skill in the user's personal library, which the AI agent can load on demand to execute complex tasks. Previously, creating these skills required writing text descriptions or code scripts.
