AMD Announces Ryzen AI Halo Platform with 192GB Memory

AMD announced its next-generation Ryzen AI Halo developer platform powered by the Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 processor. The system supports up to 192GB of LPDDR5X-8533 memory and is priced at $7,299.99 for the Linux version, with a Windows version featuring Microsoft Project Zenith coming later. Supporting up to 192GB of unified memory allows developers to run massive artificial intelligence models with over 300 billion parameters locally on a workstation. This breaks through previous hardware limitations for edge AI deployment and localized large language model development. The platform allows allocating up to 160GB of the system memory as shared VRAM to handle demanding workloads. Improvements have been made across the CPU, GPU, and NPU compared to the previous generation.

## BACKGROUND

LPDDR5X is a high-speed, low-power memory standard widely used in modern computing devices to provide high bandwidth for integrated graphics and processors. Microsoft Project Zenith is a specialized, developer-focused Windows 11 configuration designed with consumer applications removed and necessary runtimes pre-installed for high-memory AI PCs.
