Amap, Hello, HiSilicon, and OpenHarmony Launch AI-Native Navigation for Shared E-Bikes

Amap, Hello, Shanghai HiSilicon, and OpenHarmony have co-developed the industry's first AI-native navigation solution for shared e-bikes, debuting on Hello's new "Navigator" smart e-bikes in Baotou, Inner Mongolia. The solution integrates a lightweight RTOS-based navigation system directly into a built-in 5-inch screen, eliminating the need for phone mounts. This collaboration represents a practical IoT application that enhances rider safety by enabling phone-free navigation and reduces operational costs for operators through precise parking zone alerts. It also showcases the expansion of the OpenHarmony ecosystem into smart mobility and edge AI devices. The system utilizes HiSilicon's "Diting" module for high-precision GNSS positioning and edge AI computing, allowing stable navigation even without network connectivity. Powered by OpenHarmony, the vehicle supports OTA updates, "tap-to-unlock" interactions with smartphones or smartwatches, and future connectivity with smart helmets.

## BACKGROUND

OpenHarmony is an open-source, distributed operating system framework managed by the OpenAtom Foundation, designed for smart devices across various scenarios. RTOS (Real-Time Operating System) is a lightweight operating system designed for resource-constrained devices like microcontrollers, processing data with strict time constraints to ensure immediate response.
