Alipay Partners with Gaode Momentum to Enable AI Payments for Robot Dogs
Alipay has partnered with Gaode Momentum to launch "AI Pay · Embodied Intelligence," allowing robot dogs to autonomously run physical errands and make purchases. Using the robot dog named "Tutu," the system completes transactions within predefined authorization limits set by the owner. This partnership bridges autonomous robotics and digital payments, transitioning AI agents from purely digital assistants into active economic actors in the physical world. It demonstrates how embodied AI can handle real-world commercial tasks safely through centralized trust and authorization frameworks. The system utilizes Ant Group's APASS commercial trust infrastructure built on the "Know Your Agent" (KYA) paradigm to verify identity, intent, and authorization throughout the transaction lifecycle. Alipay also announced plans for a dedicated AI Wallet Agent to help users monitor and manage all AI-driven payments.
## BACKGROUND
Embodied AI refers to artificial intelligence embedded in physical hardware, such as robots, enabling them to sense, navigate, and interact with the real world. In fintech, Know Your Agent (KYA) is an identity framework adapted from Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations to verify the delegation chain and authorization of autonomous AI agents before completing financial transactions.
