AliExpress and Tmall Launch Global Growth Initiative for Chinese Brands
AliExpress and Tmall jointly launched the 'Global Growth Initiative for Chinese Brands' at the 2026 AliExpress Annual Summit in Shenzhen, aiming to support head brands, AI hardware startups, and quality factory brands. As part of this initiative, AliExpress plans to provide angel-round investments to over 100 outstanding AI hardware brands. This initiative provides Chinese enterprises with a structured pathway to transition from domestic operations to global markets by leveraging Alibaba's ecosystem support. It highlights the accelerating overseas expansion of Chinese AI hardware and manufacturing sectors amidst growing global e-commerce competition. Major brands like Midea, Haier, and TCL have already joined the initiative, which targets 500 head brands and aims for 50% year-over-year growth in both brand count and GMV over the next three years. Additionally, the platform offers one-stop hosting services to help over 1,000 factory brands achieve exponential growth.
## BACKGROUND
AliExpress previously introduced the 'Brand+' program in September 2025 to offer cost-effective, diversified solutions for brands expanding internationally. Programs like Brand+ leverage global fulfillment networks, localized marketing, and AI capabilities to help Chinese consumer goods establish a strong presence in European and other global markets.
