Alibaba Tests "Wanyou Wujie" AI Platform for Multi-Agent Project Collaboration
Alibaba Cloud is internally testing "Wanyou Wujie," a B2B human-agent collaboration platform designed to coordinate groups of digital employees (AI agents) to deliver complex projects. Unlike Alibaba's "Qwen Office" which targets routine tasks, this platform focuses on multi-agent collaboration for end-to-end project execution. This development highlights a shift in enterprise AI from single-task chatbots to multi-agent systems capable of autonomous, collaborative workflow execution. It strengthens Alibaba's enterprise AI productivity suite, positioning it to compete in the evolving agentic AI market. Currently, all features of Wanyou Wujie are free to test, though Alibaba plans to introduce tiered pricing based on task scale and resource consumption. The platform is designed to be lightweight enough to also accommodate freelancers and individual entrepreneurs.
## BACKGROUND
Multi-agent collaboration involves multiple specialized AI agents working together to solve complex, open-ended tasks that mirror human problem-solving. Alibaba has recently consolidated its agent technologies, integrating tools like the desktop agent QoderWork and the workflow automation platform MuleRun to build a more comprehensive enterprise productivity suite.
