Alibaba's Qwen Office Integrates with WeChat Work to Support China's Top Collaboration Platforms
Alibaba's AI agent platform, Qwen Office, has officially integrated with WeChat Work, completing its support for China's three major enterprise collaboration platforms alongside DingTalk and Feishu. Currently accessible via web with a client version coming soon, this integration allows users to trigger WeChat Work actions directly through natural language. This integration marks a significant step in the adoption of enterprise AI agents, enabling seamless cross-platform automation across China's fragmented enterprise software ecosystem. It allows businesses to deploy AI agents that can interact with multiple collaboration tools without being locked into a single vendor's ecosystem. Through the Qwen Office connector, users can authorize WeChat Work to perform tasks such as reading smart tables, creating documents, scheduling meetings, and sending notifications. Qwen Office also supports the global collaboration platform Slack, positioning itself as a versatile tool for both domestic and international enterprise environments.
## BACKGROUND
Launched in public beta in August, Qwen Office is an AI-native workspace developed by Alibaba and led by DingTalk's CEO Chen Yusen. It is powered by the Qwen large language model and consolidates several of Alibaba's previous AI agent products, including QoderWork, Wukong, and MuleRun. The platform functions as a lightweight operating space where AI agents can autonomously handle tasks from content creation to distribution.
