Alibaba Qoder Launches Fast Mode with 3-Second Responses and Reduced Credit Cost

Alibaba has introduced a new 'Fast' mode for its AI coding tool Qoder starting on desktop client version 0.4.4 and above. The update reduces initial response times to 3 seconds while lowering credit consumption to 0.8x. This enhancement accelerates developers' feedback loops for daily tasks while reducing resource costs by approximately 27% compared to the previous Performance mode. It highlights the competitive trend among AI coding tools to optimize for lower latency and cost-efficiency. The Fast mode maintains output quality identical to the prior Performance mode while responding significantly faster than Auto mode (9.8s) and Ultimate mode (13s). In the international release, Fast mode automatically replaces the former Performance tier without requiring manual user configuration.
