Alibaba Qoder Launches as First AI Coding Agent Workbench on HarmonyOS PC
Alibaba's Qoder has officially arrived on the HarmonyOS PC App Store, becoming the first AI-powered programming agent workbench available for Huawei's desktop ecosystem. This launch expands software development capabilities for developers on Huawei's emerging PC platform while strengthening desktop ecosystem adoption for Alibaba's AI tools. It marks an important cross-platform integration between two major Chinese technology giants. Qoder leverages system-level HarmonyOS capabilities to support deep codebase understanding, local file operations, code execution, and multi-agent roles including Frontend, Backend, and QA. It also features a general mode enabling non-technical users to use AI agents for document creation, research, and data analysis.
