Alibaba Launches Qwen Office Beta for Windows, macOS, and HarmonyOS PC
Alibaba has launched the official website for its AI-powered "Qwen Office" suite, releasing beta versions for Windows and macOS alongside a HarmonyOS PC beta version on Huawei's AppGallery. Developed by DingTalk, the application offers features like AI writing, PPT generation, and full-stack webpage creation. This release marks Alibaba's expansion of its Tongyi Qwen AI ecosystem into the office productivity market, directly competing with other AI-assisted office suites. By supporting HarmonyOS PC, Alibaba is also positioning itself early in Huawei's emerging desktop operating system ecosystem. The application requires Windows 10+ or macOS 14+ and is priced starting from a free tier up to 158 RMB/month for the Personal Premium plan, while the Enterprise Standard plan costs 198 RMB/month per seat. The HarmonyOS PC version is 311.4MB in size and supports multi-model switching, real-time voice transcription, and personal cloud drive integration.
