Alibaba Extends Free Access to Qwen3.8-Flash on Qoder Platform
Alibaba has extended its limited-time free promotion for the Qwen3.8-Flash AI model on the Qoder platform beyond October 1, 2026, removing the previously scheduled September 30 end date. Under this promotion, model usage is set to a 0.0x billing multiplier, allowing both new and existing users to call the model without consuming platform Credits. This extension lowers the barrier to entry for developers using Alibaba's agentic coding tools and multimodal workflows across various Qoder environments. By waiving Credit costs, Alibaba aims to accelerate developer adoption of its high-speed Qwen3.8-Flash model over competing AI coding platforms. The promotion automatically applies to all individual Qoder accounts—including free accounts and those with zero Credits—without deducting from the 100 daily general Credits. It covers all Qoder client tools, including Qoder IDE, JetBrains plugins, CLI, Mobile, Cloud Agents, and the Web interface.
