Alibaba Cloud Upgrades Token Plan Personal Edition with 12 MCP Agent Harness Tools
Alibaba Cloud upgraded its Token Plan Personal Edition by bundling 12 MCP-compliant Agent Harness tools into its Standard and Pro subscription tiers at no additional cost. Subscribers now receive included monthly usage quotas for web search, page parsing, code execution, speech processing, and image generation. By adopting the open Model Context Protocol (MCP), Alibaba Cloud allows developers to reuse their token subscriptions seamlessly across diverse agent environments like Qwen Desktop, Qoder, and OpenClaw. This move lowers cost barriers and integration complexity for independent developers and small teams building autonomous AI workflows. Standard (139 RMB/month) and Pro (499 RMB/month) tiers include designated monthly call allowances for seven primary MCP tools, with extra usage billed at a 12% discount. Alibaba Cloud also added pay-as-you-go support for five advanced infrastructure services: video generation, Managed Agent hosting, RAG knowledge bases, long-term Memory, and execution Sandboxes.
