Alibaba Cloud Upgrades Memory Service to Enhance Personal Agents
Alibaba Cloud has upgraded its Memory service for Personal Agents to improve long-term memory, user profiling, and context retrieval, while adding support for MCP and CLI integration. This update helps Personal Agents maintain consistent context across sessions, reduce repetitive questioning, and deliver deeply personalized responses by effectively storing and recalling user preferences. The upgraded Memory service scored top marks in recent evaluations such as HaluMem-medium and PersonaMem-v2, and developers can now integrate it into workflows alongside tools like Claude Code and MCP.

Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard that enables seamless connections between AI models and external data sources or tools. Personal Agents rely on memory and user profiling layers to retain past interactions and dynamically adapt to individual user requirements over time.
