Alibaba Cloud Launches Enterprise Multi-Agent Collaboration Platform 'Wanyou Wujie' in Public Beta
Alibaba Cloud has opened public beta testing for 'Wanyou Wujie', an enterprise platform designed for human-AI and multi-agent collaboration across complex workflows. Powered by Alibaba's flagship Qwen3.8-Max model, the platform enables multiple specialized AI agents to orchestrate multi-step projects within shared spaces and group chats. The platform shifts enterprise AI adoption from single-prompt chatbots to structured team workflows with defined permissions, assigned roles, and long-term organizational memory. Crucially, all project assets, decision logs, and agent configurations are retained at the enterprise account level, ensuring business continuity even during staff turnover. Wanyou Wujie features two built-in core agents: 'Xiao Wan' as a personal executive assistant and 'Xiao You' as a PMO project manager that dynamically plans tasks using standard operating procedures (SOPs). It also supports integrating third-party or local agents compliant with the Agent-to-Agent (A2A) protocol and includes an enterprise admin console for security auditing, knowledge management, and AI resource governance.
## BACKGROUND
AI agents are autonomous software entities powered by large language models (LLMs) that can plan tasks, use tools, and execute multi-step workflows. Multi-agent systems break complex operations into specialized roles—such as project managers, creators, and compliance auditors—allowing agents to pass deliverables back and forth. Qwen (Tongyi Qianwen) is Alibaba Cloud's flagship family of open and proprietary AI foundation models.
