Agibot Releases G2 Max Heavy-Duty Embodied Robot with 40kg Payload
Agibot has officially released the G2 Max, a safety-compliant, heavy-duty embodied AI robot designed for industrial applications such as palletizing, material handling, and production line feeding. The robot features a single-arm payload of 20kg, a dual-arm rated payload of 40kg, and a peak dual-arm payload of up to 50kg. This release marks a significant milestone for industrial automation by demonstrating the practical deployment of humanoid-form robots in real-world warehousing and manufacturing environments. Operating continuously without human shift rotations, it highlights the growing commercial viability of embodied AI in heavy-duty logistics. The robot achieves an arm repeat positioning accuracy of ≤±0.5mm and has already been deployed in JD Logistics warehouses, achieving an operation success rate of over 99% with speeds of 80 boxes un-palletized and 75 boxes palletized per hour. It integrates a heavy-duty force control system to combine large payload capabilities with precise manipulation.
## BACKGROUND
Embodied AI represents a cutting-edge cross-disciplinary field bridging artificial intelligence and robotics, where intelligent agents possess a physical body to interact with, learn from, and adapt to the real world. Unlike purely software-based AI models, embodied AI systems integrate perception, action, and cognition to execute complex physical tasks.
