AGIBOT Breaks Shanghai Office Leasing Record with 220,000+ sqm Space

Embodied AI startup AGIBOT has shattered Shanghai's single-lease office record by securing over 220,000 square meters of space across three projects from the Lujiazui Group. This massive expansion follows the company's recent milestone of producing its 20,000th embodied AI robot in September 2026. This record-breaking real estate deal highlights the rapid commercial scaling and capital influx into the humanoid robotics and embodied AI sector. It underscores how leading hardware-software startups are rapidly transitioning from research labs to massive industrial footprints. The leased space spans the Qiantan Yuan, Qiantan Shang, and Yuqiao Wisdom Valley projects, carrying an estimated annual rent of around 350 million RMB excluding property management fees. Furthermore, AGIBOT is reportedly wrapping up a new funding round valued at approximately 50 billion RMB.
