ACEMAGIC Launches F9A Mini Workstation with 192GB RAM for Local 300B LLM Execution

ACEMAGIC has launched the F9A mini workstation in China, featuring an AMD Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 processor, 192GB of RAM, and 2TB SSD storage. Priced at an initial discount of 49,998 RMB, the compact system can allocate up to 160GB of unified memory as VRAM to run 300B parameter LLMs locally. This high-end system demonstrates how unified memory architectures in modern APUs allow compact mini PCs to host massive AI models locally. It offers AI developers and researchers an alternative to costly enterprise server GPUs or cloud subscriptions for offline model testing and deployment. Housed in a 2-liter aluminum chassis, the system features a 5-heatpipe cooling design supporting peak performance of 140W (120W sustained). Connectivity includes an OCuLink expansion port, two USB-C 40Gbps ports, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and dual 2.5GbE LAN ports.

## BACKGROUND

Running large language models (LLMs) locally requires massive amounts of Video RAM (VRAM) to hold model parameters, which standard consumer graphics cards usually lack. Unified memory architectures address this bottleneck by allowing the processor's integrated graphics to share the system's main high-capacity RAM as dedicated video memory. In addition, interfaces like OCuLink provide high-bandwidth PCIe connections for attaching external GPUs when extra graphics power is needed.
