2Crsi Edge Launches Outdoor AI Surveillance Platform Powered by Intel Core Ultra

British manufacturer 2Crsi Edge has announced the Vision Guard VG-15MV-66, an outdoor edge AI surveillance platform powered by an Intel Core Ultra 5 225H processor. The device integrates advanced computing, networking, and Power over Ethernet capabilities into a single IP66-rated enclosure. This platform eliminates the need for traditional external server cabinets, separate switches, and power distribution units in harsh outdoor environments. By combining mini-PC performance with robust outdoor protection, it streamlines local edge AI processing and video analytics deployment on street poles and public infrastructure. The Intel Core Ultra 5 225H features 14 cores with speeds up to 4.9GHz and integrated Intel Arc graphics, paired with dual 2.5GbE ports. The fanless, passively cooled system features external IP66 PoE RJ45 ports that can supply power and network connectivity to up to three additional IP cameras.

## BACKGROUND

Edge AI refers to running artificial intelligence algorithms and models directly on edge devices such as sensors, cameras, and embedded systems to enable real-time data processing without relying on continuous cloud connectivity. Power over Ethernet (PoE) is a technology that allows a single standard Ethernet cable to transmit both data and electrical power to networked devices like IP cameras.
